In today's economy its really hard for people today to hold on to and keep a job. Even tho I have a job I am worried about tomorrow. But, I am really worried about the people that have worked for 20, 30, 40, even more years that are looking forward to retirement or have already retired.
It is sad that all of these companies that have made it through the years on the backs of loyal employees, now repay those employees buy laying them off or reducing their benefits. There are a lot of people that love where they have worked and look forward to one day of retirement and living their lives doing whatever they like. How can you live the American dream when even America doesn't care about you. Top company executives have grew major wealth off the sweat of the "blue collar" worker. Why is it that the people that do the "REAL" work make pennies year after year just to be hit with ridiculous taxes, fees, bills, etc. when the people that do NOTHING steadily become richer by the minute. Greed is a thing in America that is worse than cancer. At least there is a chance of curing cancer but, greed is stuck in the bones.

I know exactly what you mean. People work for years to get somewhere ,and BAM!! have the rug pulled right from under them. Nothing seems secure anymore. Missing the days when i was a kid ,everything seemed trouble free ,and they say life is what you make it. People try their best to make life something they can enjoy ,it seems as though this country is turning into a nightmare right at the beginning of the so-called american dream.~~~purp out~~~
